Government programs

Objective of the Program

o provide state support to direct employers who need to bring qualified foreign workers to the Czech Republic. Foreign workers who meet the criteria are guaranteed the opportunity to apply for a residence permit at the Czech embassy abroad.

The program is designed for foreign workers from Belarus, Montenegro, the Philippines, India, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Serbia or Ukraine.

Conditions for inclusion of an employer in the Qualified Employee Program

  • has been developing its business for at least the last 2 years activity
  • as of the date of submission of the application, it employs at least 6 employees in the Czech Republic for a period of at least 3 consecutive months
  • has no financial arrears to state administration bodies
  • the foreign employee will be assigned to CZ-ISCO 4-8 positions
  • the foreign employee will receive a wage or salary in the minimum amount of 1.2 times the guaranteed wage corresponding to the relevant group of jobs according to the government regulation
  • a full-time employment relationship with a foreign employee will be concluded for a period of at least 1 year
